Reece the retail store has an amazing culture of mentorship, training and growth. But unfortunately Reecetech does not share a shred of the Reece way. No options for career growth. No existing framework or future plans for a career growth framework. No regular feedback or any kind of clarity of milestones to be achieved. The organization is a continuous revolving door of key tech personnel leaving. Management relies heavily on junior or mid level staff personnel to "look after" new recruits and alas this leads to a blind leading the blind situation at best. Onboarding process completely absent for ReeceTech. Certain mid level staff even go so far as to get junior staff fired, instead of actually putting in the effort for training new people. A lot of passive aggressiveness within teams, and management only caring about numbers and not really about nurturing the talent in the organization. There is no regular performance review, and most tech personnel feel that they cannot learn anything new and their skills stagnate. Promotions are in name only, there is no real salary hike, etc. Excessively relying on external consultants to do the heavy lifting of the SDLC.
