The second round had no structure—no one asked me questions, and the team spent the time talking about their own unrelated work. When I demonstrated code that directly solved a current business problem, the CEO visibly panicked. No follow-up, no clarity—just silence. The CEO appeared agitated and even physically shaking during the final call. For a company built on emotional intelligence and accountability, this was jarring. There’s a concerning pattern of the CEO criticizing his staff while also displaying erratic, indecisive behavior himself. I left with the impression that leadership craves innovation but isn’t prepared to handle it—or the people who bring it. They made an offer.. then went silent. I responded the same day.
