Toxicity and bullying is woven into the culture of Reiss. Managers have fragile egos that require regular assurance. It felt like joining a cliquey high school club of bullies that needed to show you who were in charge through manipulation, insult, gossiping and threat. Though any sign of being discontent/upset with your situation was regarded as "not being a team player." I wish I could say I was kidding, but working here gave me insight to how people get stuck in emotionally abusive relationship. When I have shared stories about my experiences here with others, I have often been met with mouths agape in shock and reassurance that what I was experiencing was not normal or okay. Expect to be over-worked, to receive no reward for it and to be chastised for any minor mistake.
