I cannot say enough positive things about Reliance First Capital. To preface this review, I had zero background in mortgages or finance in general. I worked in automotive for years and gained sales experience, but needed more.....enter Reliance First Capital. Walking into the office for my interview immediately changed my mood and got me excited to try something new. The manager in Sarasota is the most supportive person and easily the best manager I have ever had. It is an uplifting atmosphere and everyone wants you to succeed. The training is second to none. The company pays you a salary to learn and prep for the NMLS test and once you pass, you get some of the best sales trainers I have ever seen. There is non stop support to ensure you are selling deals, learning as much as possible and having fun while doing it. Now is it all rainbows and sunshine? Absolutely not. There are days where you will make 200+ phone calls and get absolutely nowhere. There will be appraisals that kill deals or collateral review or portfolio denials, but overall following their scripts and fine tuning where to spend your time and how to manage your efforts will pay off. In less than 90 days on the floor, I had an $8000+ paycheck for the month and that is with zero knowledge of this beforehand. They give bonuses, run a bunch of random contests and give away cash and prizes frequently to entice you to succeed. Our manager has taken us out to numerous outings including steakhouses, mini golfing, happy hours, etc. The only people I could see disliking this company are the ones that don't want it bad enough or can't handle the stress that comes with any commission only job. It can be grueling but it is so rewarding being able to save people money and make a great amount of it at the same time. There are many sales jobs that advertise huge salaries but you don't see anyone in there making it while I watched an analyst make $10k in one day on my interview here and consistently see my team lead clearing $30k a month. This isn't a job, it is a career and you can really grow with this company. There are multiple offices and hundreds of employees, but I can call the VP on his cell right now and he would answer and see how he can help me. The CEO meets with every single employee yearly and even sends occasional emails just to acknowledge your efforts because he actually pays attention. Despite the size, it is still family owned and you can feel that. Overall 10/10 experience and I don't plan on going anywhere else.
Minpunten
Hours can feel long sometimes, but the checks are worth it
Pluspunten
Extremely high earning potential for those with good sales chops ($200k+) Small company where CEO knows your kids' names. Ample training, company-paid licensure Benefits are adequate (401k match could be more generous but is ok) Rewarding - Most customers leave high praise for customer service feedback so you can feel like you are truly helping people achieve financial objectives.
Minpunten
High stress deadlines directly impact your paycheck You MUST learn to network with realtors, attorneys & title agents to really thrive here. Although you can make a living solely on the provided leads. Monthy "draw" is not a true base salary Some night/weekend calls may be required to ensure some loans fund on time and therefore hit your commission check. Higher rates and fees than most competitors in a high-competition industry, exceedingly strict underwriting guidelines.
