Pluspunten
I genuinely loved working for Terminix. I had many opportunities to grow my skills, and I worked with some amazing people across departments. • The company culture pre-merger was strong, with solid support from leadership and a sense of pride in the work we did. • Lateral movement was common, which allowed me to learn a lot across different areas of the business.
Minpunten
After the merger with Rentokil, things took a turn for the worse. Communication became poor, morale dropped, and there was a general feeling of instability. • I was recently laid off because my position was outsourced — something that has happened to many others as well. • Advancement was always difficult. Despite being a top performer and team lead, there was never a clear path for upward mobility. • The benefits have declined significantly. Medical insurance is now extremely expensive, and the 10% employee discount is laughable given the industry. • The fact that Terminix ended up suing Rentokil after the merger says a lot about how poorly the integration was handled.
