I would have given 0 stars if possible, but Glassdoor only goes down to 1 star. Rip Van Wafels is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. The two co-founders are the most extreme micromanagers and require employees to update them about every little thing they do. They claim to abide by company values/morals but in turn use those values/morals to create an abusive and toxic work environment. They change strategies like I change my socks and burn bridges faster than they're built. Their unbelievably gigantic egos have alienated them in the industry and have caused so many people to stop working with them, from brokers to advisors, manufacturers to customers. And on top of that, the turnover of employees is unprecedented--12 employees came and went while I was with the company. Beware: If you choose to work for this company, you will likely be fired for no reason. Trust me when I say, you're better off at your current job, no matter how bad you think it is. (The company probably won't be around in 12 months anyway.)
