Pluspunten
The best part about working for the company is the overall work environment. It’s a small company in a small town (main street setting) that has a professional and progressive culture without sacrificing a flexible work/life balance.
The work can be both creative and production oriented so there is ample opportunity to freely design as well as pass the day away with production oriented work. The feedback loop is rather quick with a small company like this, which helps create a collaborative environment as long as you can take direction for quality control purposes.
There is opportunity to expand your responsibilities here if you are a good worker (show up, contribute, don’t abuse privileges, etc.). It is also an excellent environment for an entry level position because there is some on-the-job training available.
Although small, the company provides all of the basic structure for a reasonable work environment that most other small companies do (employee manual, project tracking, reliable payroll, etc.). Essentially, if you are a reasonable person and worth being employed you will find this company to be a pleasant place to work.
Minpunten
The small company environment is not always for everyone. The usual drawbacks apply such as a quiet office, self-direction, etc. so they value employees who can get work done with little supervision.
Owner operated so team members will be owners of the company. May be difficult for those who cannot handle direct feedback (necessity for quality control).
Growing pains - with a small company comes small problems. Administration can be spread thin at times, but this is to be expected and rarely adversely affects employees.
