      Stepping stone to something better if you love the jewelry industry. After dealing with the owner nothing else will seem that bad.

      Micromanaging. Gaslighted by your boss. Harassed by team members if you report it the owner will say he does not have time for that. You have to ask for permission to leave on time. Racist and sexist jokes by the owner. Owner will commonly use the analogy that you might feel like the wife of a man how physically abuses her. When confronted of verbal and emotional inflicted by him. It's completely a suffocating environment.

      Workplace feels like a prison. Google the Brooklyn Army Terminal. The building itself looks like a prison. No metal allowed. No cell phones allowed. Some supervisors even count how many times you go to the bathroom. Don't dare be a minute over 30 minutes for lunch break ! Bad management. Owner, VP, supervisors. Really could use some management classes. Owner is stubborn, seems insane at times, has a big ego and doesn't listen to employees feedback. No air conditioning 2 summers in a row ! No raises in salary and low initial salary offers. I didn't meet one person there who felt they were paid going rate. Long time workers complained about never getting raises. Revolving door here. 75% of employees are new. Most people here don't last more than 6 months. Your job description can be changed at any time. Usually for the worst. Demotions are common.
