Pluspunten

The norms for a remote start up; flexible working, if US citizen benefits are on the table, fully location independent work, great co-workers, contracts include severance. The product has solid potential with the right moves.

Minpunten

Low pay, misrepresentation of company finances/outlook, lacking focus on dev to bring the product to market successfully. Zero communication from the top despite being a very small company. More Slack channels than employees, yet still no communication.

- Able to remote work. - This company is not highly recommended if you apply through standard processes and interviews, as it appears that many leadership positions are filled through nepotism rather than merit. If you are not connected to the CEO or involved with local gangs, your chances of climbing the career ladder may be limited. Otherwise, you should be fine as it is.

Minpunten

Like others have mentioned, this company lacks stability, regardless of whether it is making money. They will let you go if they believe you are not competent in very subjective way, even when there are more incompetent leaders in the organization. While they contribute to effective marketing, their presence has led to chaotic requirements and an influx of unlimited feature requests. They are allowed to disregard established processes, tools, and personnel, choosing instead to do things their own way. Employees in the U.S. definitely enjoy more perks and authority. The CEO should recognize that individual contributor roles and founding members are crucial to the company's initial success. If you are not part of the U.S. groups, proposing changes or recommendations may be seen as troublemaking compared to those in the U.S. groups, especially the Los Angeles teams, who can decide to ignore issues at their discretion. As a result, definitely recommend joining them if you are close relatives of those gangs; otherwise, proceed with caution.
