Upper management thinks they have a great working environment by keeping their employees happy by having lunch provided on Friday, ping pong table, etc. Thinking that this is what makes their company culture great than other working environments. But that is only putting a rug over the real issues of the company. There are benefits and 401k. That's the only pro i can think of.
Minpunten
Micro-management to the point of being tyrannical, no room for movement and not open to ideas unless it is theirs. Upper management needs to realize to make a company successful is to put trust in their employees. Favoritism among friends and family.
