Pluspunten
The mission of SAFY's mobile crisis response program, it's critical role in addressing mental health needs without unnecessary police intervention is worthy and I hope it continues. The work in the community was enjoyable, even when the circumstance was tough. There is also a genuine company wide focus on trauma informed care and DEI.
Minpunten
Management presents a face of support and trust, while with their actions they micromanage, mistrust, are unable to hold direct conversations and accuse rather than ask questions. My experience isn't unique. The influence of management led to conflict within response teams, unclear guidelines and retroactive policy changes that resulted in punitive actions. The onboarding process was oppressive, including 85 hours of online training modules with a strict completion deadline and often repetitive content. The technology provided to perform the role was often inoperative and required multi-step work arounds. Ultimately, the schedule and community work were not worth dealing with the company as a whole.
