The HR management is super pathetic, lazy and disorganized. Ok story time: So I’m a fresh undergraduate and I landed this job through my school (as my school and this company has a close business relationship), Thus I was under a new program in the company because of this relationship. My role was very vague but the HR said they were told to make it that way and deploy the students to various offices and we will learn what kind of roles we are going to do on the first day. During my time there, I was so confused on what was I supposed to do , I thought I was doing tech stuff ( because of my CS background) but apparently I’m doing QA ( the assistant general manager decided to put me there to give it a try)which is a totally different thing!Nonetheless I give it a go because it’s a new thing and I don’t mind trying, but I actually started doing QA midway into my probation because before that I was doing my COP project(something new hires need to do) .I tried my very best during probation,however I did not manage to pass. The assistant general manager came and talk to me about my failed probation, I asked him why am I here,and I thought I was supposed to do tech stuff and help digitalise processes, but he said I was in a QA role from the start, which was very surprising,like why wasn’t this communicated well to me in the beginning?Why didn’t I do QA stuff in the beginning?His answer to the first question was he won’t hire someone based on their background, he will hire someone who can do the job. But doesn’t QA need some expertise?(which is material engineering) I do not have that!As for the answer to the second question, he offered me another role and had the manager talk to me about it. This other role was a more hectic role as it require working after hours and 24/7 standby. I decided to reject the role and choose to resign instead. After that , my supervisor went through with me what went wrong with my probation and eventually I understood that QA is not for me. But after that he told me that he asked the HR he specifically wanted someone with a degree in material engineering (I have a CS degree in game dev), but the HR posted me under him, which he was very very very surprised. He asked the HR why am I under him and they never gave him an answer, which was very suspicious. Side note, when I got shortlisted for the group interview, I asked the HR what is the JD like, they told me I will know during the interview.I was dumbfounded because aren’t I supposed to know what’s the JD before the interview so I can prepare? All in all, ST logistics looks fake on the outside , disorganized and useless on the inside

Lots of good people worked here.

Minpunten

Didnt take good care of the employees. Had problems with upper management not taking care of the employees after being harassed by lead drivers.
