The conversation about on-call pay is something we periodically review. Our ultimate goal is the engineers build solutions so that being interrupted via an alarm during an on-call roster is a rare thing - if this isn’t your case, please discuss this at the next operations review, or your next 1:1 with your People Leader.
Technical execution does form part of the criteria for promotion, but more important is how the individual contributes to their team, engineering and the company goals.
Please start a conversation with your People Leader. They will be able to discuss the specifics of your situation, or come seek me out.
