Pluspunten

The best part of working at Sam's Club would be the friendly coworkers. Never had a problem with anyone except once, and that was handled appropriately. Sam's pays well for our community and there have been some opportunities for me that I did not expect when originally hired. I've never had a problem getting the attention of management if we had an issue to be addressed, nor have I ever been refused for requests for assistance from management.

Minpunten

Cons are things such as having WAY to much to accomplish while other associates are allowed to have 30-45 minute chit chats out on the floor with nothing ever being said about it, if anyone even notices what's happening. It's a regular occurrence. When one of your coworkers is allowed to waste the last half hour of a shift doing nothing but talking for 20 minutes and then sitting in the break room for the last 10 minutes waiting out the time clock... Meanwhile, you have too much on your hands and are the only one in your area... I have no words to describe the resentment that situation creates.

Pluspunten

The pay is good and so are the benefits.

Minpunten

This is the worst job I have ever had. I made it 3 weeks before leaving and never coming back. They had me working 12 hour shifts when I was scheduled for 8 but couldn’t leave because I wasn’t finished with the large workload they piled on me. There was absolutely no teamwork, our manager just abandoned us so they could go hang out with their friends. There was no organization, no structure. 100% sure my manager never even knew my name. They had us breaking down pallets just to restack them. There are no consequences for management at all, they can basically do whatever they want and nobody is gonna do anything to stop it. If they're short they throw you into different departments with no training.
