Pluspunten
When I started working at Semrush things were ok. Managed to negotiate a good salary and the remote work benefit was very suitable. Also, although the company was going through a lot of changes there was a normal pacing towards solid change fostering experimentation with clear guidelines and alignment between teams. Sure, there are a lot of cultural differences between the company's employees that sometimes affect everyday work as well, but I took it as a learning opportunity to become a better communicator.
Minpunten
But, since the company moved everyone out of Russia and their profit went down things became extremely hectic and the pressure is insane. The company direction is completely gone, goals are very unclear, employee turnover is crazy and management is becoming more and more incompetent. They fired a lot of people who were ok and brought in low-quality managers who used keywords in interviews but were completely lacking in leadership skills. On top of that, salary and benefits stagnate completely unless you are underpaid and do a good job/ manager likes you. Also, while employees who go into offices receive additional benefits, as a remote employee you do not get anything additional. There is no opportunity for growth either. They prefer to bring people from the outside for a "fresh perspective" rather than promoting internally. Also, there is a group of original company managers (all Russian) who are unremovable. I would not recommend this company to anyone in its current state.
