Pluspunten
-Potential for high pay, especially as a Ridgewood or Belfry server (essentially indoor and outdoor restaurant waitress), and even as an event server. The main way to make lots of money is to build regular relationship with customers and usually flirt (which I didn't like to do but other employees did) -Not too demanding of a job, lots of chill periods -Can be fun if you fit in with the co-workers. I found that the event staff is much more friendly and less angry than the regular restaurant wait staff -Can set your schedule for the most part, other than certain mandatory events and holidays.
Minpunten
-For event serving, you can make good money during the school year but I found they are far too overstaffed during the summer and the tips get split way too many ways, -Shifts for events can be very short. As short as 2 hours. This sucked for me because I would drive a long way and basically cancel out what I make with what I paid in gas -If you aren't used to being around rich people it's annoying to be around. Not just the customers but the other employees would complain about the most first-world problems, -99% white, straight, conservatives. Also heard rumors of the owner being racist toward black customers but I wasn't there to see it. -The different managers will give you different instructions, so you're always in trouble with somebody. And certain upper management would chew out employees if they messed up. -Have to work holidays (but get paid extra sometimes) -In the summer, nobody wants to work the pool bar so they force servers in there. Super boring though, one of the main reasons I left. -Nitpicky rules, I saw a girl get yelled at for wearing two sets of earrings and two necklaces (even though they still looked classy) because you are only allowed one of each -Owner watches the camera of the girls ALL the time. Particularly the ones in the comfort stations (beer cart girls) and in the pool snack bar. Will call and yell at them if they see one thing wrong -Food gets thrown away and employees aren't supposed to take any home
