The majority of the executives are personal friend of the CEO and they fell that they can use this to get whatever they want. One executive wants to control almost every aspect of the company and is infamous of the "my way or the highway" approach, so much so that many employees tried their best to avoid working with him out of fear. The moment you have a disagreement with this person, he will shut you down in front of everyone. This cause many people to leave the company and sometimes involuntarily. You can show up in the morning, terminated by noon and your replacement show up in the evening. Since 2012, over 40 people have left the company, ranging from engineer to VP. For a 100 person company, this is a high turnover rate. The CEO is indeed a nice person, but he is so busy with the sales life cycle that he did not get the chance (or want to?) to get involved in building a collaborative culture in the company.
