I don't even know what they are... Pros?? Myself, I know I'm a professional, don't know about everyone else. The only possible WAY to make an income is to batch multiple orders by SAME STORE and SIMILAR / PROXIMAL Delivery Locations (meaning customers who live minutes apart from each other within the delivery window, and shopping a few orders at a time without mixing up the items)... As you will read below, they are many obstacles and this is simply more easily said than done and not always the case. You'll have easier days and and horrid days, and the easy days are only a few notches at times up from being horrid, so not that great either. Being a shopper feels good for about 5 minutes...until the sunsets and all the creepy ghouls, monsters, and underlings of customers come out in a dark blood moon orgy to play around with your sanity, yes I'm telling it can get that crazy. For the most part, living in NY and delivering for people especially during this crisis is a blessing and does instill a bit of confidence and helping people and i've had a few warm customers and met other nice Shipt shoppers here and there. Normally I am too busy to sit and talk as other Shoppers are also doing because some of us have like 5 or more orders trying to complete, which despite what Shipt doesn't get...is that is we cannot make an income off of doing 1 or 2 a day wasting hours on each one for little pay and no tips, and also because especially during the lock down which has passed recently, the orders were RIDICULOUSLY high and people needed their stuff, and they would never get it if we shoppers didn't go out there risking our health to go and get them. The orders would just sit on the app, and never get fullfilled, canceled, or sent to never-never-land while Shipt customers who just chalk it up to a 'bad experience' or waiting on their order for weeks cus no one would take it, then it builds up heir next order cus of "panic buying" and... you get the idea. When I shop for customers, I never ...and HAVE never picked up damaged goods to give to them, never taken or subbed an item that they themselves have not either approved of or discussed and I haven't' already sent them pictures of, circling suggestions, refining and adjusting to EXACTLY what they want / need or what is and ISN'T in stock and I cannot do anything about. There's been occasions even if i'm pressed for time or have a window to meet, I still ASK employees if they have a certain item in the back or not to simply INSURE the customer gets what they want and that they are happy with it. Yet, next week in reviews, i'm seeing 1 or 2 liars saying that "I was an unfriendly shopper" meanwhile 7-10 others are saying " I go above and beyond" with their shopping experience, texting me thanks over and over through the app that i'm doing it for them and getting what they want. So how is this contradiction even valid Shipt?? I'm "unfriendly"...but yet most say I "go above and beyond"? That's like Jesus Christ and Crack addiction, 2 totally different things that can never make sense together. Pros?... man, idk...maybe the ones they keep paying to write these fake company reviews on here and then Shipt b-lines directly those and replies, paying no attention to ACTUAL real people. They're paying 'Pro'-fessionals to write that crap i guess.

OH there are so many where do I even start... I've been a shopper for long over a year, whilst finishing school and upon graduating...the COVID nonsense happens. My field of work is directly more physically involved within healthcare so right now I can't work, I've been using these share economy apps just to maintain income.. let's meditate on that word for a second.. INCOME, because it is something I think Shipt, and some of the other apps CLEARLY do not understand. My area is Metro NY, right in the heart of one of the worst hit areas during this pandemic. When there is lack of work, I change to Long Island, because i have to maintain an INCOME (this is one of my PRIMARY sources of paying my bills and expenses at the moment). Now, the average pay for orders ( no matter how many items, except the absorbently high quantity orders i.e. over 70, 80+ item orders which btw TAKES A LOT OF TIME FOR THE SHOPPER TO COMPLETE AND REDUCES THE TIME THEY HAVE TO TAKE ON OR COMPLETE OTHER ORDERS TO MEET DELIVERY WINDOWS..) that average pay is about 20 dollars give or take, for the Metro NY area not including tips, actually not bad when you have multiple orders but i'll get into that. Now, take into account .. when you have to SUBSTITUTE AND COMMUNICATE WITH CUSTOMERS, WAITING IN LINES, UNPLANNED OBSTACLES, DRIVING TIMES, DISTRACTED CUSTOMERS (playing with the baby on the phone, etc. this has happened to me and added an extra hour to my checkout and drive/delivery time that i was stuck with cus if I don't, then I risk review/complaints of 'wrong items', delivery outside window, 'poor substitutions, etc. yadda ya, meanwhile i'm waiting 5-10 minutes apart for a customer or call me back because they can't focus while I'm trying to complete their order); YOU WILL DEAL WITH BAD DIRECTIONS ESPECIALLY TO APARTMENT BUILDINGS AROUND NYC AND LONG ISLAND AREAS.. ( people have suddenly forgotten where they live at), people who live in Apts and order heavy cases and bags of whatever and want YOU to carry them up 3 floors or more in an elevator by yourself (which means NOW you have to invest in buying a rolling cart like people carry laundry in, just to lug there stuff upstairs in which generally, these types of people don't tip you for dragging their stuff up like you're a postal worker) meanwhile you're moving quickly because downstairs your car is sitting with hazards on near a hydrant because it's one of the few parking spaces if any you can find or near behind a bus stop hoping they don't come by and give you a ticket. Best Advice I can give to drivers for Shipt, do you best to avoid high-quantity orders ( there's nothing like spending 5 hours in a grocery store to shop 2 orders with over 80+ items each, then another 30 or so minutes driving to deliver them, and add only 40 something dollars to your earnings for the day so far, that's if after losing 6hours out of the middle of the day, IF you want to even bother continue doing another order large or otherwise. Long Island orders are the absolute WORST especially the weird customers (i might get into this if i have more room or time in this rant/review as to what i mean by "weird"). Hence which now brings me back to income... if you work for at least 4-6 hours (driving to location, shopping time, checkout, delivery, and other obstacles in between as i mentioned i.e. subbing items, communicating with customers, long lines, COVID lines having to wait outside for up to an hour or so, etc.) and divide up those 4-6 hours with 40 dollars your earned, you're looking at below minimum wage or 6-8 dollars an hour roughly, this is worse when you do orders in Long Island where I have seen order fees as low as 12-14 dollars for completing a 50-60 something item order and 7-9 dollars for maybe 20-30 items. You do the math Shipt and tell me if that makes sense for hardworking people who are either post graduates like me, or have families during this time and need to make income! They say that currently they are implementing "Late Forgiveness" on the App due to the pandemic situation, yet...other day in the emails, from last week i've gotten up 2 emails now talking about me delivering outside the time window. Which one is it? 'Late Forgiveness' or Late UN-forgiveness Shipt?? As I said, the customers in Long Island are the WORST i've seen, and Shipt DOES NOT let you rate customers like Instacart and THEY NEED TO!! Last week I had a customer in let say in a more 'wealthly' area of Nassau, gave instructions on BOLD CAPITAL letters noted to please no contact and drop the order in the back yard. I finally get to the house after (.. you don't wanna even know what happens in stores during shopping for stuff.. like I said "obstacles"), and there are 2 individuals sitting there TANNING themselves flaming orange in the driveway...BLOCKING THE BACK DOOR THEY WANT ME TO DELIVER TO! I waved said hello, tried to ask if this was the correct house and where they wanted the delivery ( because of 'social distancing' and the LAW, I obviously was not stupid enough to walk over there near them and drop off anything ), they sit there with dark shades on facing the sun and NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING ME, NOT ANSWERING OR LOOKING MY WAY?? What in the BLAZES was that about (avoiding profanity here)!!?? I was confused for several minutes, very annonying and awkward, i didn't know if they were sleeping or WHAT. I dropped them off carefully at the front door across the grass in front of them fake sleeping and tanning to a crisp, sent a text as to why i did so ( social distancing, the law etc. ) and they text me back "Good Move". What the HELL was that about?? Testing "Shipt Shoppers if they're gunna break the law or follow directions"?? These people didn't even HAVE ON ANY MASKS OR GLOVES (which I DID)! Look I could go on and on... Shipt needs to fix delivery windows to be APPROXIMATES not exact hourly windows, especially during these times because things change...or at least allow customers to pick MULTIPLE DELIVERY WINDOWS that they are available in case they are delays or hiccups. Other day my car broke down, exhaust bracket hanging off my car losing fuel fast ...in upper Queens, I informed the customer I had NO CHOICE i could not deliver the last order and it needed to be taken care off. I sent a chat message to HR, no response... the customer themselves didn't respond until 2 days later after me sending several messages telling them if they want I could get it canceled or still fullfill it if they wanted to wait. So I have to suffer with reports of me delivery outside window when HR AND the customer themselves refuses to communicate back during a time of emergency??? What if I had been in an accident??
