Conceptually, the company is incredibly appetizing and has the potential for greatness. The store has seen some of the most talented and expressive individuals in this kind of an industry. Some of the relationships I created, networked, and maintained I would not trade for the world.
Minpunten
Where do I begin...the pay is inadequate given what is expected of you from the company. If you would like to be treated poorly this is the job for you. If you attempt to put in any kind of hard work, to go above and beyond, that would benefit the company, the chances of you receiving even a 'thank you' is slim. There are too many personal politics involved - work shouldn't be a personal matter. However, some members of the company will make it their job to convince you that it is. There is hardly any respect for boundaries. The job role and descriptions presented are nowhere near the caliber they should or even could be and you will never receive formal training or documentation of the position you have. You will be this blind the entire time and the chances of adequate guidance are lost due to the uncertainty of higher-ups. This is a company filled with lies and false promises. Until you receive formal documentation, do not trust a word anyone tells you. There is blatant sexism and inequality in the workplace. You are thrown to the wolves and yes, you do get eaten alive. The company, although new, has been around for a number of years and has yet to have any sort of HR department. Open door policy "exists" but I assure you that you are not protected. Your first month working at Showfields will be the only month you will enjoy, guaranteed. Be warned. Any opportunity presented to you will surely fall flat.
