We value the positive aspects you mentioned, such as good benefits and great co-workers. However, we acknowledge your disappointment with certain aspects of our management and systems.
We are committed to being a people-first organization, and we take your feedback about upper management seriously. We understand the importance of empowerment and trust in creating a healthy work environment. We will continue to develop our management team to ensure that they have the autonomy and support needed to lead their teams effectively.
Regarding our planning and goal-setting processes, we understand the need for balance and realistic expectations. We appreciate your input on re-evaluating the level of detail and focusing on short-term commitments. As always, specific examples you could share with R&D leadership would be appreciated.
We acknowledge the issue of tech debt and outdated systems. While all organizations have tech debt to some extent, we have made significant efforts over the past few years to address this challenge. We have implemented various initiatives to improve our codebase and deployment processes. However, we recognize that there is still work to be done, and your feedback will help us prioritize our efforts and continue our progress in this area.
The recent leadership changes have undoubtedly caused uncertainty, and we recognize the impact it may have had on the overall atmosphere within the company. We are committed to providing clear communication and stability during times of transition. We will take your feedback into account as we navigate these changes and ensure that our long-term direction remains focused and clear.
Your advice to management regarding tech debt, "People First" policy, and planning is well-received. We appreciate your suggestions and will take steps to address these areas. We do send out quarterly surveys with comments that we can segment by department, if you are not comfortable speaking with People Ops confidentially, this would be a great avenue to share specific examples.
