Some very poor managers make this a risky place to be

Signify Research is a great place to work. I have so far been with the company for a year and have thoughtly enjoyed my time. The company culture and work enviroment is so friendly and inviting. Management are always happy to help and lend support for any issues that may arise. Furthermore, I cannot commend and thank the company enough for the support given to me due to a change in family circumstance and living situation. Not only did they go above and beyond with support for me to go from office based to remove, they supported me with the change and move. Another important aspect to me is the flexibility with working hours, I am able to work the times of the day which suit me and allow me to fully commit to my lifestyle outside of work. Progression within the company has been excellent, I have regaularly been checked in with to see how I am finding the role and where I would like/see it going. This was not stopped after the first few months it has been an ongoing commitment from management. Going hand in hand with this, I have to say the salary reviews and bonus' are really good, th the bonus' being a nice extra reward. The company is very open regarding plans for the furture and targets. Very generious holiday allowance, with the ability to top it up by working bank holidays if desired. Overall, the company really does put their employees first and truely invests in them, not just monitarily with material things but also in them as a person with personal growth.

I have no cons to add.
Pluspunten
Pros: - People are generally welcoming, most people are outgoing and very accommodating - Senior management have a wealth of experience and are very keen to help you learn - Good opportunities to interact with some large multinational companies and build relationships with C suite executives - Travel opportunities are present both domestically and internationally, however the latter was not an option afforded to me.
Minpunten
- Analysts expected to write reports, create content marketing, generate new business and sales and manage databases all in a single role. In essence, you will definitely do more work than what is advertised - Oftentimes, middle management suffers from poor structure. I often felt micromanaged, reprimanded for seemingly insignificant things and even denied opportunities in some cases for no apparent reason. Such micromanagement was off-putting, with comments implying that I was unable to carry out my role properly. - While senior management have been fantastic in setting expectations from the role, middle managers often over-emphasised the importance, and thus pressure of the role. - For a company that prides itself on its flexible working policy, such privilege was not afforded to me (again for no apparent reason) and was only granted after I pushed back on it - As a graduate, the role becomes boring quickly, especially as you are expected to write reports on markets that rarely change. Having heard senior members describe the core business model of Signify Research as ‘reproducing the same content year on year’, I was actively discouraged from engaging with the role and don’t think there is scope to learn or develop a career as a result. - Career progression is almost non existent. After spending over a year in the role, I was not moved up the internal role bands at all and was told that a progression to the position above mine would be unlikely even after 3-5 years in the role.
