I love the culture at Sovos. I was hired because a very enthusiastic, genuine, HR recruiter gave me the confidence to be my best and fit in. I love the sense of fun when the day is done, and the sense of support during working hours. I like that we fill a valuable niche, and that we do it well. The appreciation of our clients is a testament to that. I love that we are making compliance with government regulations easier. I've run a small business and seen how convoluted compliance can be. I've even see our good ideas adopted by government bureaucrats to improve the process for everyone. I've been here long enough to think about looking for better jobs out there, but I'm not sure what they would even look like. Doing good work is important to me, and I feel like we are making a tangible difference.

I won't say I haven't had bad days. But I don't think there are any fundamental cons to working here.

Sales leadership is horrendous. New people are brought in not trained, aggressive targets (that have never been hit) usually designed to be the escape goats to protect the old guard. Long tenured sales protects the existing power structures. When results slip, they blame newer reps. New hires don’t hit, quotas unrealistic, weak implementation. Nightmare of a company, the worst I have ever worked at.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback matters, even when we see things differently. Quota-setting and new hire ramp structures are areas we invest in seriously - they're because we want our sellers to win, not to set anyone up to fail. That's the culture we've built, and it's one I'm proud of. That said, I do hear that your experience hasn't matched that intent.
