SpecSys is a subsidiary to Ritalka. I wish I could give a zero rating. This company is a horrid company to work for. High turn around rate of employees. Their pay is way below the national average even with 20+ years of qualifications from the Army and skilled trade certs. The company is family ran and no one has the qualifications or knowledge of what actually goes on in a facility. My title is many things- Maintenance, welder, driver, mechanic, painter, grounds keeper, weed puller and snow removal at their personal home, and at the plant. I have to say that I do love my job, but the unrealistic expectations for 1 maintenance person in a 220,000 square foot building is absurd. Before the company was bought out, there were 7 maintenance people in this building. I invite any of the bosses to follow me around for a day, then they would see how they are making an impossible situation worse. The other con is they state the company is family oriented. I have never worked for a company that has only employees at holiday parties. They also state that weekends are for spending time with your family, EXCEPT when they want you to do their running for them or to cut grass in the summer at their home here. Or to plow snow at the plant and their personal home. But restrict your OT on top, how is that possible? Their vision statement is "Our Vision Statement is not just words!This is key to our success and the success of our clients." They need more actions to support their employees. If they consider their higher paid plant employees walking out success then they need to re-evaluate what success is. Another word of advice if you are thinking about working for them, get everything in writing, because they will forget and claim it was never said. Keep all your emails, and cc all upper management, because they have poor communication with each other. And you will be pulled in all directions. Again please know, if you will be working in any of their plants, be forewarned they are not the people they say they are, and will change plans multiple times each day.
