The annual contract is from October to May, so if you have school age children this aligns well with your family needs. One to one instructors will always be a part time position, which might not be the best financial situation for some teachers. Schedules often fill up, but sometimes a teacher's schedule is at the mercy of the district/school assessments being completed and approved. So there might be some time with an uneven work day/week while waiting.
