I've learned so much in such a short amount of time. You definitely get what you put into it and it's easy to stay motivated when you're surrounded by smart people who care about the work they deliver.

We aren't the small and mighty startup anymore but I'm still excited about more opportunity with Red Hat acquiring us.

The chance to be a first mover and potentially a leader in a cutting edge space with a very large upside. Good engineering practices: thorough code reviews, your peers will uphold good coding standards and design practices. Testing and QA is well above average for a company the size that it currently is. Despite this, the team typically ships very fast. Management is very transparent: they are open about both the wins and the challenges more than any other company I had worked at before. Despite challenges associated with a startup, the company, (I think) has a positive outlook.

- The industry is very new and constantly changing. You need to be ok with pivoting fast and at times switching product direction on short notice. It can feel a little like the ground beneath you is always moving, but it's part of the game. - Engineering is a little on the younger side, and sometimes I felt like you could sense the immaturity and the battle of egos. Management took a while to understand how to manage a younger team well, but I think they've done a good job getting there and like to listen to feedback.
