Pluspunten
- Good flexibility - Pretty decent vacation/time off - Interesting projects - Lots of good people - Fairly stable. Tries to build long term employment (vs staffing up for a big project and then laying off at the end like some companies)
Minpunten
- "We Put People First" is a stated company value, and is true when it comes to safety, but when it comes to letting senior people go (with fairness, and dignity) that value sometimes goes out the window - There is a diversity program, but it appears to be going too far. There is a feeling/understanding that if you're not a minority female in the USA your chances of promotion are limited - There is a strong civil engineering bias in senior leadership, and a strong Alberta bias. - Benefits seem to get a little worse every year - This year they took away the two days of paid time off at Christmas that salaried staff have always received. We work our butts off all year and don't get paid overtime, and we can't get a couple of paid days during the mandatory office closure at Christmas (have to use vacation, or take unpaid leave)
