Pluspunten

Good learning experience. Company is growing rapidly. Work-life balance is very good with acknowledgement of work being done while at work, and work remaining at work, and not having to be taken home.

Minpunten

Lots of micro-managing. Needs to have better established procedures, and protocols. Employees always feel "scared" because of unstated and unspecified policies and procedures. Company is in "growing" phase and needs better structure. Company is too rigid concerning identity and security issues.

Pluspunten

Lots of opportunities to grow within the company. The lab was bought not long ago by a bigger company, and there is a noticeable positive change already. They are actively hiring more people and buying more instruments.

Minpunten

There is high turnover in some areas because young, fresh out of college people are often hired as lab techs.

Company is expanding and growing, changing, so it feels like things MIGHT get better. Lots of internal promotion and fluidity.

Minpunten

No formal training, lets hope you get a mentor who can communicate your job to you while they also work under the pressure of doing the same amount of work while training you. Under equipped for tests they run, although this has been rumored to be fixed in the next year with new machines. Extremely underpaid. Which isn't going to change anytime soon. Lacking management communication during the whole 24hr shifts. Managers are present in the morning to afternoon, but do not leave a physical record of what needs to be communicated to evening and overnight crew. They instead rely on archaic "this person tells the next, who should pass it on to the next" structure. But there is a night supervisor to make the tough choices for you, which is nice. Bad employees seem to just hang around, doing the same mistakes over and over again. I don't get why they don't try re-training or action. But if you make a mistake, it is set out for everyone to see with your name on it which is embarrassing.
