Management isn't flexible-Whenever I tried to bring up a suggestion to improve things like scheduling, time off, etc., I was shot down by my manager, saying that, " This is how it's always done". And don't even think about taking time off for the holidays or summer because that time is considered a company "black out day", so no one can take time off. Lack of work- I've gone weeks without working a shift due to classes being cancelled due to low class enrollment, cancelled classes due to a chef being unavailable, etc. There was even a point where I wasn't paid anything due to the fact that I didn't work for TWO weeks. Pay- The pay is so little for how much they charge the classes. 13$ an hour for classes that cost nearly 100$ per class. Tips-Sometimes the people attending the classes will tip the staff, but rarely. One of those times, one of the chefs took my portion of tips and split it with one of the other Kitchen Assistants. So, be aware that your tips can be stolen. Schedules-All schedules are on paper, and you had to go to work to find out your schedule, even when you haven't worked for weeks. If you can't work one of your assigned shifts due to a conflict or emergency, management said it was YOUR responsibility to find a replacement, or else you had to work that shift. It got to the point where I was sick one day, and I called the store to tell them I couldn't come in because I was too sick, and it was their problem to find someone to fill in my shift.

Staff was friendly and willing to help through the hiring and training process, and tasks were shared evenly

Minpunten

Management implements rules that harm the flow of sales and make for terrible checkout lines. Scheduling was always done last minute and it was impossible have a stable work schedule due to last minute changes and no stable scheduling duties for managers
