Pluspunten

The organization has a purpose that aligns with my life/career goals, making healthcare better in the United States. They reward hard work and results, both with appropriate recognition and compensation. There is great leadership within the company that allows for front line employees to have autonomy and the power to make decisions to move the company forward. Your coworkers are some of the best and brightest in healthcare.

Minpunten

Depends on what you are looking for but it is not your typical 9 to 5 job, healthcare moves fast and you have to move with it. Autonomy can have draw backs, strategies are not always aligned and better coordination is needed. Surescripts is great at creating a technology solution, but not great and ensuring the market exists for that solution. Corporate strategy is a work in progress and needs to be more effectively communicated and informed by the boots on the ground.

Minpunten

Leadership within the Technology and Security organization operates entirely on fear, micromanagement, and self-preservation. Transparently reporting organizational risks or highlighting operational gaps is treated as a personal threat by management rather than a professional duty. The leadership style relies on moving goalposts, extreme gatekeeping (like exhausting daily interrogation-style briefing traps), and intentionally vague performance feedback so success can never actually be achieved. Top-performing professionals are systematically targeted, isolated, and managed out through fabricated performance issues to protect executive reputations. Furthermore, the HR department is completely toothless. Detailed, explicit exit interviews outlining this exact abusive behavior and naming impacted employees are met with empty empathy but zero corrective action. HR routinely chooses to protect toxic executives over maintaining basic workplace ethics. Since the corporate takeover, the culture has entirely shifted from psychological safety to compliance through fear, causing widespread burnout, anxiety, and a mad dash for the exits by top talent.
