Non-profit health plan, so there isn't as much extreme pressure to sell - they are OK if you miss your numbers one year as long as you hit it most years.
Minpunten
Operations basically runs the entire company and looks down on Sales, even though the Sales department's success is the only reason the rest of the organization has been largely exempt from the recent layoffs. But they still act as though salespeople are the red-headed step children. It's a classic "tail wagging the dog" situation. Marketing in particular is completely useless and utterly untalented. There is no creativity in SHP's marketing team and they seem to actively work against the sales team's ideas. 90% of the company is just there for a paycheck and want to maintain the status quo. So many good employees have left this company because of this backwards culture. The loudest voices win out at SHP. If you want work at an innovative, forward-looking company with passionate people, SHP is not it.
