Most people live minutes away, If you have any commute time whatsoever, or kids, and don't live right in the neighborhood, steer clear. CEO will confront you in parking lot if you are a few minutes late. Working weekends and offering to stay late on some nights will do little to buy you flexibility if you need to leave early sometimes. For the actual work- it's timelines or else, at the cost of good science.
