Can't really think of anything that stands out as a positive.
Minpunten
I can only speak for Corp to Corp and 1099 contractors. If you are a corp to corp candidate/employee or work on a 1099, rate negotiations will be exhausting and painful. There was some dishonesty from their part just to get you to sign at a lower rate. I was in need of a contract right away and the representative advised that the client wanted it lower but in reality that client paid the same rate for everyone as I found out later well into the engagement. One BIG negative; your pay disbursement will be frequently late. Whenever it is late, I always get the excuse, "The signer of the checks had a family emergency". I was told this excuse at least twice which of course loses its credibility after hearing that again. I also found it extremely irresponsible for a company to place the signer of the checks in the hand of one individual. This means that your livelihood will depend on whether or not the signer of your check's personal life goes well that week. This is extremely unprofessional.
