Very few pros these days although, there are still some really decent folk on the front line.

So many, with the previous owners there was a real family spirit to the company and in the year prior to being taken over had our biggest year financially ever and had fairly regular annual bonus. Then CVC come in, take out a £200m loan on the company and then tell everyone the target for getting a bonus has gone up, obvs to pay for the loan. Soon after, all really decent people from HR were gone and replaced with some very unpleasant people. There now seems to be more directors than people on the ground. We've had a couple of rounds of redundancies whilst the people responsible for products that don't work have been promoted. They consistently say they want to compete with the big American EPR vendors despite clearly having no idea on the functionality these systems can do. In response to the previous review from marketing "There is a new executive board who are determined to ensure the long term health and longevity of the business which is reassuring." CVC is a private equity firm who are their to make money for investors and will already have an exit strategy within the next couple of years.

Let me pick out a couple of points to address, and I am happy to talk personally if you would find that helpful. We are lucky to have a bonus scheme which is offered to all System C colleagues - as you rightly say, this relies on us hitting our targets. I can assure you these are not related to our financing but to our annual performance of our business, and as we get stuck into this new financial year, I am optimistic that if we continue to perform as we have been, that it will come into effect at the end of the year. Thank you for your feedback on the weekly blog - I have re-read the blog in question and can assure you that as someone who spent 16 years in the Armed Forces that nothing could be further from the truth. I do appreciate that sometimes things can be read differently and I will work hard to keep things relevant and, to your point, positioned appropriately and sensitively. System C continues to be a great organisation, and as you say, we are lucky to have some incredibly committed colleagues as we continue to grow and develop. Many thanks Nick CEO

I could write a lot on this, but the two biggest challenges within the company are: 1. Disorganized processes and slow decision making. Operations felt chaotic, more like the downside of a start-up than the upside. Decisions moved slowly, inefficiencies were everywhere and few people seemed empowered or accountable to fix them. The technology, infrastructure, and ways of working often felt outdated and unnecessarily manual. 2. A People team lacking credibility and capability. From leadership down, the People function appeared out of depth. Initiatives such as career frameworks and progression tools being introduced felt more like surface level exercises than meaningful strategies. Despite the talk of being “people focused,” the execution of any initiatives lacked clarity, consistency and genuine understanding of what employees actually need.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m pleased our remote / hybrid working suited you, but I’m sorry that other aspects of your time did not meet your expectations. We recognise that some of our processes and tools have been too manual and slow. As we integrate our group of companies into one organisation, we’re investing in clearer processes, better systems and sharper ownership so decisions move faster. You’ve also raised concerns about our People team and career development. Our career frameworks are currently in the design and build phase to create greater transparency, with a communicated deadline of the end of our financial year. Alongside this, we’ve introduced Development Planning, Squiggly Careers training and toolkits, and a mentoring programme to support colleagues with their career development.
