Pluspunten
If you want a call center position where you can exercise more control over your matrix, try a virtual call center. You don't have to worry about traffic, or whether or not there's a line for the microwave at lunch. All you have to worry about is whether or not your rig is capable of handling the tech on their end. It pays a little less than working in a traditional call center, but it evens out since you don't have to pay for gas. Also, the benefits may be small, but they beat the heck out of what most other jobs in this pay range have to offer. And office politics seem less petty when they're coming over email and in a chat room than they do face to face.
Minpunten
Office politics still exist. Coworker friction still exists. Some are abusing private chat to facilitate what they're doing, and while that makes it easier for them to get caught at it, the Team Leads and Coaches are so harried that they're probably not paying attention. Getting someone's attention can be more difficult in this environment, since you can't just walk up to someone to talk to them, and they might be engaged in three other convos when you're trying to communicate with them and you have no way of knowing that before you make your bid for their time. So, the lines of communication can get jammed.
