There’s also no clear career progression in place. High performers are “rewarded” with more responsibilities, but not with additional compensation or meaningful development opportunities.

Preach empowerment of employees but then get caught up in the details and the "my way is the only way" mentality. No trust in employees. - Change directions constantly and fail to communicate these changes downwards which often leads to confusion and gross incompetence. - No flexibility. Senior leaders say they only care about output but then they monitor employees in and out times at the office and consider an employee a poor performer if they work from home one day. - Low pay. Poor bonus models. No benefits. - Constant lay-offs and high turn-over rates.
