I worked at this company for two years, under the social media agency model. The company culture is great in terms of being flexible and adapting to different personalities and work styles. The owner is good at recruiting strong talent and giving employees an opportunity to enter the marketing industry with hands-on experience. Fosters entrepreneurial spirit in employees, and there are is a flat hierarchy in terms of projects and ideas - people can suggest ways of doing things and they will be implemented if the team thinks it's a good idea. The founder would also find ways of supporting staff in continuing their education and personal development, though there wasn't a formal training and education budget. CEO truly cares about his staff and thinks about how to support them personally and professionally. Great place to gain experience in the marketing industry.

Salary is quite low and the company often feels like it is changing directions and not sure of where it is going. Restaurant niche is difficult to service as budgets are low and turnover is high. High stress environment, especially for senior managers. Turnover will happen if staff feel like word is not as interesting. The creative department needed development when I was there, with stronger emphasis on innovative content development and high quality work. Sometimes felt like business and sales were prioritized over creative output. At the time I left I felt like I hit a glass ceiling in my professional growth at the company. Also there were no medical benefits or paid vacation.
