Pays decently for what it is; your title is an Operations Manager but your really doing the work of a supervisor in this function 4. 1. The schedule does take some getting use to but you have the option of 3 day weekend or having 4 days during the week 2. They are in the process of trying to have a lean/six sigma mindset but it’s really behind on a lot of levels; A. Majority of your peers (ie other OM, SOM) do not have a technical background B. Systems are outdated and no easy way to gather information and corporate seems not to be bothered by this C. Senior management seems all over the place, no sense of direction and always answers in values ways which doesn’t make sense when your trying to change culture mindset to six sigma D. Uses the crutch of constantly changing as an excuse for miscommunication/poor planning across all departments E. No clear message to what expectations are as OMs seems like everyone use the reason why they didn’t hit plan with clear message to solve the problem other than buzz words from senior team F. Hire people with technical backgrounds maybe you still start to head in the right direction
