Minpunten
-This isn't a company, it's a high school. If you are liked by one member of Upper management, you're set! However, if this one person decides they don't like you, your career with the company is over. They will find excuses to reprimand and fire you. This opinion can change on a dime and due to no fault of your own. -NO JOB SECURITY. You can be a great worker, do everything in your job description, be liked by all your coworkers, and you can still be fired at the drop of a hat. Again, it all relies on that one member of Upper management. Every little mistake I made had me fearful that I would be gone the next day. Everyone is ready to be fired at any time. It's impossible to be productive when you know that your performance, in the end, sometimes doesn't matter. -Micromanaging! They criticize every little thing you do. Did you spend too long on one issue? Get written up. Were you a bit short with someone over the phone? Written up. Which, for all you know, could be an excuse to fire you. They don't seem to understand that their employees are human being and not infallible robots. -Upper management does not care about the employees or their ideas. They, of course, say their doors are always open and that you can share your opinions at any time! However, not only do they not take anything you say to heart, doing this will put you in their radar. You have to keep your head down, work, and pray upper management doesn't notice you so you can get by. -Upper management has no concern for employee safety. They handled the covid-19 situation terribly. While I understand that this was new for everyone, they were happy keeping offices open at the risk of employee health. -No room for advancement. You can get maybe one or two promotions before it's the end of the line. -Raises above 5% are discouraged to such a point that employees will fear for their jobs if they ask. -Unnecessary punishment. Employees can often receive no warnings about their performance and they will suddenly see their job position slipping away. -HR is controlled by Upper management. Going to HR means they will tell Upper management and you can get fired. -Little to no accommodations for those struggling with health issues. -It's a very straight white environment, with almost no POC in Upper management positions. They don't seem to actually care about diversity.
