New CEO doesn’t seem to align with the historic organizations values. Made a bunch of bs promises during the Townhall in November 2022. It was pretty obvious that the speech wasn’t genuine and that he was trying to pull the “I’m a great family man” card in attempt to make employees think he can relate to the average Joe and that he’s this stand up guy. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Tenneco was previously a “work from anywhere” organization and overnight the new leadership are trying to force everyone back into the office at a minimum of three days per week. People that were hired 100% remote that have never set foot into a Tenneco office are being forced to report into the nearest location, doesn’t matter if it’s a 2 hour+ commute. It was also mentioned by the CEO in the Townhall that he wants Tenneco to be an employer of choice. On the flip side, he is single handedly standing in his own way of that goal by not trusting employees and forcing them to go into an office when the position doesn’t require it. It was also mentioned that most things would stay the same and that 99% of employees wouldn’t even notice a difference with the acquisition. Shortly after started chopping heads at the higher level and bringing in his buddies to replace them. The Tenneco c-suite is now a Michigan white boys club and the new CEO Jim is on a world tour for a photo shoot.
