Terminal used to be great pre-pandemic, but that's far in the past now
Minpunten
I honestly don't see any value Terminal is adding to the partner companies or the engineers working for the partner companies. Pre-pandemic, it was great as Terminal offered an office, a good work environment people could come to work, interact with others and feel like a part of the team. Once COVID started, everything went down the hill with Terminal. Everything was handled very poorly from Terminal side, they fired lots of their employees, they canceled pretty much all the benefits and didn't even try to replace them with anything new. Overall, there is no point to work for the partner company via terminal, as they don't provide any value once the pandemic started. As things started to re-open and other companies are opening their offices, Terminal closed the majority of their offices, meaning that many of the engineers have to work remotely. I honestly don't see any point why would someone join Terminal or why existing employees/contractors would stay with them. They take a cut of your salary, so you make less money than if you would work directly with the partner company, and in return, they provide only payroll and health benefits, perhaps something that any of the partner companies can do by themselves or hire a person to help with that instead of paying a large percentage of engineer salary to Terminal. I'm honestly not sure what's the value-added anymore and I personally will be looking at ways how to get out of Terminal and work directly with the partner company and never look back.
