Where to begin. This is by far the most toxic and unprofessional place to work. The problems start at upper management, which is essentially the vascular doctors, who are also “partners”, but have no idea how to run a business or a practice. There is some other company that is the management group- but they don't appear to do much at all. THERE IS NO HUMAN RESOURCES. Your “practice administrator” is your Human Resources. So who do you go to when you have an issue with them? Exactly, no one. The doctors are too busy to care, and don’t want to deal with employee issues. There is not a single person you can go to with an open door policy and no retaliation. Nobody cares about unsafe staffing, unsafe work environments and constantly make you do things that are not within your scope of practice. The practice administrator is unprofessional, unreasonable, uses bully tactics, ungrateful, uneducated (bc they are NOT CLINICAL) in the realm of what exactly each employees role is, and states to “have your back” when in reality, is talking behind your back to anyone and everyone. It is gossip hour (or should I say, hours) for them when they do come into the workplace. Claims to do so much for the company but in reality, creates more issues and blatantly favors the absolute worst employees. Micromanaging everything when they have absolutely no idea what certain job details entail (like telling an ultrasound tech how to properly write a report etc). The hard working employees that work their butts off and never have any issues—are never thanked and absolutely get taken advantage of. Instead they all end up quitting and going to a better company where they are valued. They will talk badly about you no matter what. QUESTIONABLE ETHICS AND MORALS. DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO MENTALITY. On top of the horrible pay and benefits, they do not give yearly raises bc the partners are too cheap and looking to save a penny. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR GROWTH AT ALL. They make false promises of company expansion when in reality, they are completely in the red. It’s sad because there are great people that work there, but they get burnt out due to the high demand and work load that gets added onto their back once someone leaves. Doctors quit all the time--in the last few years, there have been multiple doctors that have left to go elsewhere. Some doctors are also so entitled, don't care if they yell at you and see you as a "lesser" employee and refuse to collaborate or effectively communicate. Some doctors are nice, but work once a week or you rarely see them. This whole company needs an ego adjustment because they are doing no one any favors. There are plenty of other jobs that pay better, and treat their employee with dignity and respect. Whatever you do, DO NOT WORK FOR THE VASCULAR EXPERTS IN CT/RI/MA. It is one and the same.
