- Great place to get your feet wet with teaching different ages - Little lesson prep needed because curriculum is repetitive and well structured so once you get the hang of it, every lesson is similar - high level of autonomy given to teachers

Minpunten

- Many sub classes for teachers on top of regular classes - Questionable management decision to slap enrollment KPI on teachers. Teachers are not salesmen. - Weekly training is not effective. They even encouraged us to copy and paste feedback for students... then what is the purpose of individualised comments? - Questionable teaching philosophy with the new management. Numbers over teaching quality. This is the main reason why TWC makes it hard for good teachers to stay. It is no longer about students progress. Teachers who do the bare minimum get away with it because there aren't enough teachers and nobody cares unless a parent complains - Once supportive environment is gone because those who created the culture have quit - Cold management decision to shut down or transfer adjunct teachers classes to full timers to save cost. Zero compensation is made to affected teachers - The usual office politics you hear in every company, but it gets out of hand when a student's progress is used as pawns to advance their vested interest. Centre managers and officers are not always honest to teachers. Once again, they are obsessed with numbers not student welfare

Dear teacher, thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify some confusions that may have arisen due to misunderstandings. Substitute classes are assigned based on teachers’ class load and student number, as these factors determine how much time a teacher will need in teaching and marking for their own students. To be fair to those who are fulfilling their own class and student load within expectations, marking support will be given to such teachers. One of our recent training sessions encouraged teachers to build their own bank of explanations for each strategy they would like to introduce. However, as per our requirements all along, teachers are expected to assess each student and highlight individual strengths and weaknesses, applying only relevant strategies for each student to ensure they benefit and progress with us. In previous years, we have had to make changes to selected classes for timetable optimisation as well. This is not something we take lightly, and we acknowledge that you may have been affected this year. We would like to hear you out further, and discuss any other queries or doubts you may have. Clear procedures and Supportive colleagues

Work-life balance? Non-existent. Passion and expertise are squeezed out — and even when you give your best, you are expected to do more. Operational priorities often feel focused on targets over teaching quality, and staff value can feel conditional. Local management is highly detail-oriented, with inefficient processes and inconsistent enforcement adding to the pressure. Career growth is limited, and administrative expectations can extend beyond scheduled hours. Overall, the environment is tense, high-pressure, and leaves staff overworked, undervalued, and at high risk of burnout.
