Pluspunten
The colleagues are the only real positive. Most people are genuine, supportive, and doing their best in very difficult circumstances.
Minpunten
Micromanagement is taken to an extreme; you’re to be available at all hours, including holidays. Any notion of work–life balance simply doesn’t exist. Meeting targets makes no difference; recognition is practically unheard of. Instead, there’s a constant atmosphere of uncertainty, as though you should always be worried about your job. Favouritism is very apparent. If you’re close to the bosses, you’ll find your life considerably easier. If not, you’re treated accordingly. Career progression is non-existent. Management doesn’t listen to feedback and shows little interest in staff development. Benefits are virtually non-existent, and annual leave is limited to the bare legal minimum, yet you’re still expected to respond to messages and, in many cases, work while you’re meant to be off. Deadlines are unrealistic, the pressure is relentless, and there is little regard for employee wellbeing. Burnout is treated as part of the job. The co-founders are extremely hands-on in all the wrong ways. There is very little trust, limited people skills, and only their ideas are considered valid. Be wary of overly positive reviews posted between late September and early October, these tend to appear right after the annual company retreat, when staff are encouraged to share “their experience.” Overall a highly toxic environment with no meaningful benefits, no growth opportunities, and little respect for employees. Not a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a healthy or sustainable career.
