- Toxic: leadership/employees literally yelling at each on phone calls. The marketing/sales leadership would yell at employees, "we need to ride them", no matter what was done. They didn't understand the concept that not owning a trademark, spending no marketing dollars, products constantly out of stock, broken websites, misaligned channel pricing would lead to negative YOY sales. - Leadership will look for ways not to pay vendors/partners and they make you complicit in these activities, ruining your reputation and standing with that partner organization. They discuss behind closed doors when the best time to "pull the rug" so they get the most without having to pay. They have a long list of debts/obligations they are trying to dodge. - Competency: Org generally lacks any competency. If they get lucky and hire someone that knows what they are doing, the others quickly sense that and seem to work to push that person out for pointing out obvious blunders or mistakes.
