I was able to attend conference meetings and meet leaders from countries around the world. The experience provided me with an international perspective and gave me good exposure to issues facing nations.

Minpunten

The internship was unorganized. There was no set goals or clearly defined learning outcomes. It is an environment where you get what you put in which can be a pro if you are thrive in that kind of environment.

Remote work, mission-driven, name recognition of the UN. Workload was not overwhelming, leading to good work-life balance.

Minpunten

The most disorganized organization I've ever worked for. Consultants were treated inhumanely - denied basic labor rights. Constant backbiting among team leaders pitted consultants against each other. Problems with incredibly easy solutions spiraled out of control due to the complete incompetency of leaders. Racist/colonialist mindset a major issue at HQ.
