Being able to walk up to someone that looks like they're having a bad day and asking to pray with them, or vice versa, really strengthens friendships. The benefits are solid and they just started a wellness benefit and provide workouts on-site. Meals are free during mealtime. Management is very accessible and willing to listen to their employees.

The meals are the same served to 2,000 other people that day, so don't expect amazing meals. They're simple, but usually delicious. It's a shelter on skid row, so there are a lot of challenges that go along with that, including violence outside, grumpy folks inside, and fun smells everywhere.
