If you're a creative writer and someone who values writing, run. The writing process is horrible and complicated. You're expected to stuff keywords "naturally" and work with another tool that still requires you to optimize for a certain score and readability. So if you write, you're expected to do all these optimizations across two different tools. And once you're done, your work feels soulless, bland, and just meh. I am not actually proud to put anything I wrote for them in my portfolio! The pay was low—kind of okay, but still not worth it. Hopefully, again, hopefully, they may have improved since I left, but: My 2 cents to you guys is this: Just allow your writers to write! I understand there’s a need to check and optimize, but your processes were so excessive that I ended up churning out garbage. Imagine having to rework an awesome intro multiple times just to “naturally” include a keyword. I hope your processes have changed; otherwise, you’ll keep cycling through writers. And as for rates, theirs are in the lower tier. You’d think with such grueling processes they’d at least pay well.
