The managing partner’s expectations are unrealistic, thus the work environment is difficult to navigate as a result. Constructive and supported feedback is not offered and communications are reactive rather as opposed to providing proactive expectations. In some instances, internal feedback and characterizations of work may feel inconsistent or difficult to reconcile with expectations, which can further contribute to uncertainty around performance standards. Overall, this environment may not work for individuals seeking mentorship, clarity in expectations, and a more collaborative/supportive atmosphere.
