As the organization grows, staff does not. Be mindful of words used in interviews like 'we are like family.' Family is who you go home to, not who you work alongside. Pressure to work weekends and weeknights is intense, and comes directly from the C-Suite. There is a desire to present as a 'grassroots' organization, but this place operates like a large health network. Many of the leadership are from Lehigh Valley Health Network. If you worked there and are wary of the culture carry over, joining this organization is something you should think twice about. This is not a safe space to share feelings or burnout or overwork with your leadership. You will put yourself at risk to be replaced or demoted.
