Pluspunten

- Some great amazing colleagues to work with. - Great flexibility but some employees are taking advantage of this "great flexibility culture" - MIA most of the time without apply leaves, coming into office between 10am to 11am and leaving between 3pm to 4pm (these are mainly the manager/director/VP who are expats (no control measures put in place by HR).

Minpunten

- Poor leadership, lack of mentorship/professionalism/directions provided by members of the management team who are young and inexperienced and to some extent, arrogant. - The management team comprises of about 80% expats so you will need to be an expat to blend into the "culture" and get handsomely paid without having to do much work. - Very political. A few employees had fallen into the hands of malignant fate (i.e. got sacked), not due to performance issues but because of political reasons which were uncalled for and HR did not provide any form of support/investigation for employees' justification. - Opinion of HR is terrible. Always not in the office and does not walk the ground to understand the needs of employees. It would be a waste of time to talk to HR if you have grievances as they care only about the interests of the company and the managers. - Employee benefits are not competitive as those offered by other tech companies. - Not a place for professional growth and development.

Across the globe we see a large amount internal upward promotions as well as lateral career growth which allows a Veeamer to grow skills and experience, but your review indicates you may not have had that opportunity. Poor organizational structure and lack of clarity: Roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines were confusing. This made collaboration and accountability very difficult. Nepotism and favoritism in leadership: Upper management heavily favored hiring and promoting people from their previous companies the "buddy system". Loyalty to personal networks appeared to matter more than competence or performance, which created cliques and made nonconnected employees feel like outsiders. Hypocritical company culture: Leadership frequently talked about "employee matters" values, strong culture, and employee well being, but in practice these were not reflected in actions. Layoffs, heavy workloads after staff reductions, and a focus on looking good on paper undermined any real trust. Frequent layoffs and job insecurity: Multiple rounds of layoffs created constant uncertainty. Remaining employees were expected to absorb significantly more work with fewer resources and little recognition or support. Heavy favoritism toward offshoring and lower cost international employees: Upper management strongly preferred hiring or retaining talent in countries with significantly lower cost of living because their lower salaries made departmental budgets and headcount metrics look better on paper. This resulted in U.S. based employees being disproportionately targeted in layoffs or overlooked for retention/promotion.
